IB Junior is a savings account opened by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a minor child (under the age of 21) with a view to building up savings that the child will be able to access once they reach the age of majority.
It also allows you to:
- Prepare to finance your child's education;
- Build up capital to finance his projects when he reaches the age of majority.
Features:
- Initial deposit: 10,000 CFA francs;
- Maximum interest-bearing balance: 15 million CFA francs;
- Account balance unavailable during the first two (2) years of the account.

Documents required to open an IB Junior savings account
- 2 passport photos of the child;
- 2 passport photos of the parent/guardian;
- 1 birth certificate of the child;
- Valid proof of identity (CNIB card, passport);
- Guardianship certificate if not a parent of the child;
- Proof of current address (water or electricity bill);
- Postal and geographic address;
- Initial deposit.
